Inspector Truths Rumour Files:Members of the Inner CircleReferenced Documents
There have been long-standing rumours that the walls of the Monastery in Milton are "blessed" with the faces of significant individuals from within the Canadian Diocese. Inspector Truth has been hard at work trying to determine the truth of these rumours. As it turns out, the Inspector was able to find some recent photos of the wonderful iconography at the Monastery. Specifically, Reference Document #1 (below)shows a crowd of devout followers, with what appears undoubtedly to be an image of Mr. Gojko Kuzmanovic, the Monastery Kum (front left in the picture).
This has challenged Inspector Truth since he has also uncovered a newspaper clipping of Mr. Kuzmanovic from the late 1970's (Reference Document #3 - below) which indicates that the Monastery Kum was charged with Conspiracy to defraud a trust company of $3 Million during what appears to be some very "shady" property development projects in Toronto. As the Toronto Star article states: "The three builders....had paid nearly $25,000 to a Mr. K to pay off City Hall inspectors so they could convert houses into bachelorette apartments". Evidently, Mr. K - or the Monastery Kum, was unaware of the Patriarch's appeal to "be good citizens of the country in which you live..". For the Inspector, this issue may present a Canonical challenge. In short, is a criminal record a pre-requisite to become a Monastery Kum and as such, have one's image painted in a Monastery. The Inspector is somewhat mystified by this potential requirement. Particularly since the image next to the Monastery Kum (his right, the viewers left) is the good Bishop Djokic. If this requirement is needful, one can only imagine the implications. The Inspector was also able to secure a photo of another frescoe from the Monastery (Reference Document #2 - below). This is clearly an image of Mr. Ilija Rakanovic (Diocesan Vice-President) [front right] and Ms. Milena Protic (Diocesan Legal Counsel) [front right with scarf]. The Inspector is still investigating what newspaper articles might be able to match this iconographic representation.
